The King
of the Woods.

I wrote this song while deer hunting on a foggy morning. I watched a nice 10 point buck come out into a cut bean field and fight off several smaller bucks that came in to check out the does he was with.

I had this guitar riff recorded in my voice memos that I thought would go perfectly with the idea, so I sat there in my tree stand and wrote most of the song.

A mature whitetail is one of the toughest creatures in the woods, and everybody knows it! There's just something special about a big buck. He's earned his crown, and he's the King of the Woods!

I hope you enjoy it!
